The Promise Lives Campaign, which raised more than $500 million, started in July 2007 and ended in June 2015.

Ohio University President Roderick McDavis highlighted the completion of the Promise Lives Campaign during his president’s report for 2015.

The original goal of the campaign was $450 million. The campaign ended June 30, 2015 and was primarily paid for by three major donors.

During McDavis’ last State of the University address in August, he said OU has a solid financial foundation for the future, thanks to programs like the Promise Lives Campaign.

“That was one of the proudest moments of my career,” McDavis said in a previous Post report.
