There’s an app to download onto your phone for just about anything, even food.
From learning to eat more healthy, avoiding long lines, searching for new recipes, there’s an app for that.
Taylor Johnston | ILLUSTRATION
Created by Yelp, this app allows users to veer away from waiting in long lines at restaurants. By checking the location of your preferred place to eat, wait times are updated to allow guests to decide whether or not they want to stick around or not.
Educate yourself by downloading this app to make better food choices. By scanning barcodes of food items, the app will list ingredients that the item has and differentiate which are healthy and unhealthy. The app will also provide healthy alternatives to any scanned item.
With more than 350,000 recipes to discover, this app simplifies cooking. Users can also create a grocery list within the app based on recipes you are interested and even includes a weekly meal prep calendar.
This app is like Pinterest, but with a focus on just food. You can find recipes and save them for a later time or just enjoy looking at pictures of delicious looking meals.
If you’re looking for new places to eat, you can use this app to search for bars and restaurants you want to try and save them so that you can find them all in one place at a later date.
